Gastric Bypass and HCG

Curious- Does anyone have any information about how to do the diet after a Bypass? My friend lost a bunch of weight on it, but is struggling with extra skin and weight. Her doctor will do the skin surgery if she lost 50 more lbs.

I know she tried the hcg diet, but it hurt too much for her. We think it is because of the GBypass and her food. So what modifications would she need to do?

  1. You are having quite a day today, my friend!! From what you describe, it definitely sounds hormonal. How do I know this? Hmmm. Yes, its that I'm going through it myself!! I've never done a Mon-Thurs-Sat weigh-in, but it sounds like it might work. If the numbers are affecting you, you might want to schedule your weigh-ins differently. I would only suggest this if your intake is tried and true. Meaning that you aren't adding in any new foods or new food combinations that you haven't tried before, and don't know how they might affect your weight. If you're doing everything the same as before, try it.

I'm sorry I don't know anything about gastric bypass patients doing Hcg, but I wonder if you might try searching for it on the yahoo forum? I'll just bet there's at least a couple of people there who might know how to help.

Hang in there---- hugs to you!

  2. If you find an answer, clue me in. I have a friend who had the surgery who wants to try HCG so if there's an answer let me know. In the meantime, I'll ask my boss if she's treated anyone with GBS.
